Firing a 80 m/m mortar in the outpost of Dima where each Combat Group would spend 3 months every year protecting the population. The proximity of the Zambia border made Dima a favorite target for enemy attacks. We would have our dinner while still day and sit waiting for the sound of the enemy mortar shells leaving the barrels to dive into the foxholes.
